Survey Says: “16 – 18 Hours to Install Our Complete Air Conditioning System”

The 2 most frequent questions guys ask us are: “How long will it take to install your aftermarket a/c kit in my car?” and, “What do I get in the kit?”

Here is the feedback from our customers; guys like you with a variety of skills and shop equipment and heater/air-conditioning knowledge before they start.  — Take it easy, get a pal to help, and on average a Perfect Fit kit, an aftermarket air conditioning kit takes about 16 to 18 hours to install.

Here’s what makes it so simple:
Everything you need is in the kit – from a positioning template for your engine compartment to every worm gear hose clamp and bolt you’ll need.

The guys in our shop offer up a few general  suggestions for smoother A/C installations:

  • A basic cleaning of your car’s engine compartment and interior before beginning makes break-down and assembly go more smoothly.
  • We recommend storing parts you are retaining for re-installation in zip lock bags. Label each bag with info on where the parts came from, and what size/type of tool is needed to reinstall. Cleaning the parts before you need to reinstall them is a good idea too.
  • Use two wrenches to tighten fittings. A trick that works well is holding both wrenches in one hand; squeezing them together, while your other hand holds the fitting in position.

Our installation instructions go into so much detail, with tips all along the way, you basically CAN’T get lost.
